Multiplex:
"from warm melodic electronix to frothy pumped up electro treats"
www.myspace.com/multiplexmusic
The longstanding Spirit of Gravity members and former transatlantic brothers
bring more of their emotionally wrought electronica to the Marlborough
theatre. Their first show for us in 18 months. And perhaps they'll play
something off their new 12" on humanshield "Momensch" or CD on u-cover
"xpand". Busy chaps.
Lifting
Gear Engineer:
"Lo-fi electrobleep merchant from the depths of the valleys"
www.myspace.com/liftinggearengineer
Lifting Gear Engineer, aka Rob Morgan, started producing electro based
tunes around five years ago while also synth player in South Wales band
Fillmore. As LGE began to spark interest an appearance on the Boobytrap
label's compilation 'A Step in the Left Direction' led to regular shows
around various South Wales venues. A meeting with Machine Records led
to an appearance on their latest compilation, Machine Music 2. The debut
album, namely 'Brain Holiday', was produced in 2005 having regular airplay
on Radio Wales and Radio 1, including a session on Bethan and Huw's show.
LGE's live performances continued to develop, leading to appearances at
the Big Love festival in Cardiff and a support slot with Mira Calix. The
future holds the 'Fridges of Nature' EP on Machine Records, and lots more
live sets.
Rashamon:
"passive-aggressive maestro of electro-psyche"
www.myspace.com/rashamon
Expanding on his well received CD "Frightened by the Familiar" Lee's live
sets use the crunchy beats and detailed psychedelia as starting points
for collaborations with other artists that can take the audience in any
direction.
